One.
Facing my mortality was easier than facing myself.

Death does something.
It has the ability to call you out on your bullshit.
Times up.
Excuses over.
The naked truth, witnessed.
And if you are brave,
You’ll see it as an opportunity.
Otherwise, it can be torture.

Two.
Who I was saying I was to the world,
Wasn’t even close to who I was saying I was to myself.

There is something about getting a second chance.
A renegotiated spiritual agreement,
With god,
With life.
It demands a particular authenticity.
Of yourself,
To yourself.
Otherwise this daemon,
Urks in the corridors of your soul.
Reminding you every,
Single,
Day of your cowardice.

Three.
To face death,
Means to face life and that is more uncomfortable than death.

You have no choice in when death arrives.
It’s inevitable.
In time.
Death will come.
In life we have choice, everyday.
Choices haunt you.
Did I,
Will I, make the right choice?
The answer,
Unveiled, as you witness the ripple of your choices.
Our choices will live longer than us.
Think about that.
Choices matter.

We are human.
Sometimes we’ll make choices that lead to lessons.
Just remember,
You don’t have to keep choosing what is not right for you.
Make a different choice.
