DECIDING WHO YOU ARE, IS DECIDING WHO YOU’LL NEVER BE AGAIN
Sometimes deciding who you are,
Is deciding who you’ll never be again.
I could tell you the exact moments in my life,
Where I decided who I’ll never be again.
And most of those moments,
Were burst out of a very painful lesson I had to learn.
We rarely learn in the joy.
We learn in the moments that shake us.
When they shatter some illusion, delusion.
About ourselves.
Or our circumstances.
When our armor has no choice, but to drop.
We see, what we have kept a blind eye on.
Why do those moments hurt so much?
I think they hurt,
They penetrate like a dagger,
Because they are a betrayal of the Self.
And we know it.
We always know it.
You can’t bullshit the soul ®.
And in those moments we take a vow,
To never be that version of ourselves again.
Not because who we were, was less than.
Not even close.
But who we want to be, is more.
Deciding who you will never be again,
Is the evolution of the human experience.
Be gentle.
These moments of growth, hurt.
But then. They revolutionize you.
